Virus Shawl

I’ve just finished the shawl or triangular scarf for my husband’s grandmother.

I love the look of this pattern, and I’m going to use it to make something for myself.

This pattern creates a large triangle, I found it on Blog Lovin. I used yarn I bought at Wal-Mart.

I bought two skeins, since I’m never sure how much I’ll need. I didn’t realize it until after I started the shawl, but the skein I used had the colors starting and stopping at the lavender instead of the more pleasing (to me) coral and cream colors. The skein pictured above in the extra, I’ll save it for another project later. I did like how lightweight it was compared to the Caron Cakes yarn I used to make my bedspread. I used a G Hook (4.0 mm).

As for the virus pattern, it seems confusing, but if you can work your way through the four repeating rows and count correctly, it will start to make sense.
